Another custom production by SMW, these Eagle, Globe & Anchor sets were worn both on the EM service jackets (with the base of the anchors facing inward) and on garrison caps (from May 1938 replacing the larger EGAs) using the side with the the anchor bottom facing left like on the P41s. They were also unofficially worn on the Army HBT utility caps to distinguish the wearer as a Marine instead of an Army soldier until replaced by the exclusively Marine version with a simplified black silk-screened version of the EGA. All versions were worn throughout WWII.
