USMC M1944 HBT Butt Pocket Combat Pants
USMC M1944 HBT Butt Pocket Combat Pants
First issued in 1944 so Marines could “fight out of their pockets” instead of having to carry a haversack or other bulky web gear. They featured two large thigh pockets, bellowed on the outside bottoms and one large, wide bellowed pocket across the seat for maximum load potential of combat essentials. The pants were designed to wear with the combat suspenders attached to the reinforced eyelets sewn into the waistband to shift the weight to the shoulders and therefore making it possible to run faster and to navigate irregular terrain during combat.
Ours are made to the original specs with our highly accurate Sage HBT fabric, thread and buttons. You may not need the butt pocket, but like so many Marines, you’ll find a thousand uses for it that you never thought of. So you better get ready to explain it’s use to the many people who will walk up to you and ask what in the hell it’s used for.
Available in Sizes 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42, and 44
