First Issued in 1945 in small quantities, this extremely rare Parka coat, officially called: Overcoat, Parka Type, Extreme Cold Coat by the US Marine Corps saw service in late WWII and in China and Korea as well as in other not-so-publicized areas. Made by SMW for the soon-to-be-released movie “Devotion” it is now available on a very limited basis to collectors, museums, and reenactors. As shown in the 1st photo, you can see how the parka snaps back to the side seams to enable Marines to run in and use in combat as opposed to just extended use in the field.

This cold-weather parka is the warmest version of our original production parka to date. It is sure to be a big hit with vintage clothing enthusiasts to wear as both a city and country coat, making it one of the warmest coats we have made which can be used for everyday use.
