USMC WWII Reversable Camo Helmet Covers Yellow Background
USMC WWII Reversable Camo Helmet Covers Yellow Background
During WWII, The US Marine Corps issued 3 types of reversible Camouflage Helmet Covers printed on both sides on 100% cotton HBT fabric. The First Type had buttonhole foliage slits on the entire cover including on the fingers. The SECOND TYPE just had the foliage slit around the top part of the helmet where they could be used. And the THIRD TYPE had no slits at all.
We originally made all three types but found that people overwhelmingly only wanted the TYPE 2s (with slits) and TYPE 3 (without slits). The Type 1s were like having a third tit because you didn’t ever see or use the slits on the finger flaps, they were between the liner and the pot. So now you can pick either/or version by simply selecting them in the drop-down menu when you order.
All covers are made from 100% ring-spun Cotton HBT WWII with the famous Marine “Frogskin” camouflage pattern with the YELLOW background as its base on the Green side. The other side is the BROWN side, AKA the Beachside in WWII, and is the correct version to match the yellow.
